The name Hearth & Grain reflects the values behind the work. Hearth speaks to the warmth of home and the way cabinetry shapes how we gather and connect. Grain tells the story of the wood — its texture, its movement, and its individuality.
Hearth & Grain is about making the spaces we live in feel personal, grounded, and built to last. I design and create custom cabinetry and handcrafted woodwork that blends timeless craftsmanship with modern needs — from built-in bookshelves and kitchen cabinets to bathroom vanities, floating shelves, closet systems, and dining tables.
Hearth & Grain is a boutique, one-man woodworking studio with a deep respect for honest materials and thoughtful design. Everything is built by hand in my shop using high-quality hardwoods and precise techniques. After a career in the Marine Corps and law enforcement, I founded Hearth & Grain to return to something deeply human: working with my hands, building things with care, and helping people create homes they love. It’s just me in the shop from the first sketch to the final coat of finish and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My wife, a former professional baker, and I share a belief in the value of craftsmanship and the small details that make something meaningful. That spirit lives in every piece I build.
